About this event

Fall of Freedom: May Day in Los Sures es una jornada que activa un bloque completo en Williamsburg con tres intervenciones simultáneas: un concierto en la calle con Los Chachos (salsa band), un espacio de salsa sketching en Timeless Threads, y un open mic en AMPM Gallery.

El evento honra las raíces de resistencia de la salsa y el hip hop, reconociendo su origen en comunidades trabajadoras, mientras convoca a artistas y vecinos a ocupar el espacio desde la cultura, la memoria y la organización colectiva frente a la gentrificación.
