About this event

SALSACTIVISM

We continue celebrating Bori Month with an evening of community, culture, music, and resistance.

Location: SingleCut Beersmiths
Date: June 27
Time: 7:00 PM
Admission: $15

We’ll kick off the evening with our friend Jay from Victory in Puerto Rico, who will speak about the importance of standing against the Esencia Project and the ongoing threats it poses to the lands and communities of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

We are also excited to welcome poet Rafa "El Pellín," joining us from Puerto Rico to share some of his powerful poetry and reflections.

Bringing the dance floor to life, Gia Fu and Puerto Rican DJ Carmencita will be spinning salsa throughout the night, keeping us moving and celebrating together.

To close out the evening, Fabio Puentes y Su Tremendo Lío will take the stage with live salsa and timba for dancers and music lovers alike.

Come through, connect with community, learn, celebrate Puerto Rican culture, and enjoy a night full of music, poetry, and sabor.
