The Action Lab is organizing a learning delegation to Istanbul, Turkey from Sept. 10-15, 2026, bringing together 30 labor organizers, communication strategists, creators, strategic funders, and movement leaders to build power and challenge oligarchy. This delegation offers an opportunity to learn directly from Turkish labor organizations, movement strategists, journalists, and organizers who have navigated what US movements are facing now.
Core Programming includes:
- Comparative movement analysis across US and Turkey contexts
- Sessions on labor power and worker organizing
- Independent media and counter-narrative strategy with visits to Açık Radyo and 23.5 Site of Memory
- Municipal power and local governance engagement
- Peer strategy sessions for cross-organization campaign development
- Resilience practices with cultural grounding activities
What's Included: The fully organized delegation includes housing, all meals, tours, local transport, and programming for $2,200 per participant. Important! Participants must cover their own flights, arriving no later than the evening of September 9th and leaving the morning of the 16th!
