For the last fifteen years, our anchor partner, New York Communities Organizing Fund (NYCOFI), has offered a free tax preparation program to assist everyday New Yorkers. Tax preparers speak with clients in detail to ensure that they are obtaining the various tax credits for which they are eligible, ie. the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and/or the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). In 2026, the program will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 5 pm, starting Sunday, March 1st, and running through Sunday, April 13th. To sign up for tax prep services, text TAX to (917) 746-5399.
Anchor partner New York Communities Organizing Fund (NYCOFI) continues its free tax preparation program, helping New Yorkers access key tax credits such as the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit. Services run weekends from March 1 through April 13.
