Brian Satz

Since 2014, Brian Satz has worked closely with Harry Belafonte as his Musical Director and Producer on multiple artistic and social justice collaborations, concerts, and recording sessions. In 2020, he produced Mr. Belafonte’s 93rd birthday tribute concert at the Apollo Theater as a fundraiser for The Action Lab. As a film score composer and musical director, he has worked on award- winning films and television series such as Nas: Time Is Illmatic, Brooklyn Castle, Viola Davis’s The Last Defense, Bully, P-Star Rising, The Two Escobars, Momentum Generation, and more. Satz has worked with Jay-Z, Maxwell, Sting, Aloe Blacc, John Forté, The Roots, and many others. Since 2006, Satz has served as the music director at BCAM High School in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, teaching songwriting, music production, and performance.
