Yaritza Mendez

Yaritza Mendez is the Senior Organizer at The Action Lab. Yaritza has over 10 years of community organizing and campaign experience. Most recently Yaritza was the Co-Director of Organizing at Make the Road New York, NYS leading member-led organization, where she led and supported their immigration and housing portfolios. She began her trajectory at Make the Road at the age of 14, working on in-state and out-of-state tuition for undocumented students and supporting the organization's effort in the advocacy and implementation of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). She holds a double major in Sociology and Criminology from Hofstra University. Yaritza lives on Long Island and has two daughters.
