Comedy for Organizers, featuring Morgan Bassichis & Nuar Alsadir

During the session, participants were invited to identify and relish the humor found in the absurdities, contradictions, failures, and difficulties of organizing. They were encouraged to think about how to utilize the innate and contagious powers of humor to foster more welcoming and resilient movement spaces and communities. Following the workshop, Morgan participated in a conversation with poet and psychoanalyst Nuar Alsadir, author of Animal Joy: A Book of Laughter and Resuscitation. Building joyful movements that can navigate turbulent political conditions, it turns out, can be a laughing matter.
