Local community legends sitting for a panel discussion in a boxing ring in the South Bronx

Salsa y Resistencia was a powerful and fun evening of community and a perfect warm-up for our Liberation Summer kick-off at SOBs.

We wanted to recognize, amplify, and learn from Chilean and Puertorican local legends from Loisaida and the South Bronx for their decades of community work and struggle, and how they all overlapped.

A special shoutout and thank you to the iconic El Maestro boxing gym for hosting us for hosting us and all the amazing people who brought their energy, wisdom, and music. Pa’lante!
