About this event

Join The Action Lab on August 21 for Youth Power: A Celebration of Organizing, Culture, and Community, an evening honoring youth leadership, creativity, and collective power as we close out the first-ever Youth Organizing Institute.

The celebration marks the culmination of a five-day intensive bringing together young leaders from youth organizations across New York City for political education, movement history, organizing skills development, and collaborative campaign design.

Youth Power will bring together young people, organizers, artists, educators, and community members for an evening of connection, learning, creativity, and celebration. Participating youth organizations will host information tables, share their work, and offer opportunities for attendees to get involved in organizing efforts across the city.

The program will feature poetry, music, and live performances presented in partnership with The Action Lab's Evergreen Initiative, alongside a collaborative art build led by Many Hands Workshop and appearances from special guests.

Together, we'll celebrate the accomplishments of Youth Organizing Institute participants while uplifting the creativity, vision, and leadership of young people shaping the future of their communities and movements across New York City.
