Just a few weeks ago, immigration enforcement agents killed VA nurse Alex Pretti in Minnesota. Alongside the killings of Renee Good and Keith Porter Jr, it demonstrates how the expansion of ICE and their increasing violence is putting our communities at risk and eroding public safety and trust. Our Solidarity Organizing Initiative (SOI) hosted an urgent, nationwide conversation: Solidarity Response Room: ICE Out Now on Sunday, January 25th. In this space, organizers from across the country came together to debrief what is happening on the ground, connect the dots between these events, and identify immediate steps to promote community safety. It was a powerful gathering that brought together thousands of people and sparked new organizing.
