About this event

As part of our Artists in Action series, we’re proud to present My Dying City: The Social Justice Suicide Hour, a powerful new work-in-progress by Dennis Leroy Kangalee and the Kangalee Arts Ensemble.

Blending theater, protest, and pirate radio, this “open rehearsal” offers a raw glimpse into the final broadcast of an outlaw DJ and the organizers, activists, and romantic misfits who call in to share confessions, critiques, and cries for meaning in a city on the brink.

Bold, unfiltered, and emotionally charged, My Dying City pushes past the limits of performance to explore what it means to live—and love—in a world burning at both ends.

📍 Join us May 1 at Jack Arts in Brooklyn. Free, but space is limited.
