Global Housing Day of Action

After months of helping to coordinate planning, The Action Lab joined thousands of organizers, activists, and community leaders to demand global housing justice on April 26th as part of the Global Housing Day of Action—77 actions across 57 cities in 20 countries coordinated across the planet! Actions ranged from Filipino fishermen organizing a protest on their boats to banner drops in construction sites of luxury towers that are displacing tenants in Brazil. Here in New York City, The Action Lab joined a housing rally in Harlem with partners to protest a negligent landlord who has put tenants' health and safety at risk.
Across the world, tenants are under attack from corporate landlords, predatory banks, and complicit governments. International solidarity is essential to shift this paradigm, and we are excited to throw down with peer organizations struggling for housing justice again soon. #Our Homes, Our Power
