About this event

This Día de Muertos, we are asking people across the country to wear a flower, build an altar, and say the names of those who died in ICE custody and those killed in our streets and communities by immigration enforcement. They were someone's parents, children, neighbors — each with a name this administration is counting on us to forget. The weekend of October 30–November 2, build an ofrenda wherever you are: a windowsill, a front stoop, a community center. Print a name. Light a candle. Say it out loud. Día de Muertos teaches us that a person dies twice: once when they leave this world, and again when no one says their name. We refuse the second death.
